• Battery against a spouse or other civilian: About $10,000 (not including the felony offense of sexual battery)
• Violation of a restraining order: About $15,000
• Possession of a controlled substance: First offense, $2,500; second offense, $10,000
• Driving Under the Influence or Driving While Intoxicated: Some states differentiate between the two; a DUI would be when the person is below the legal limit of intoxication but his or her driving is still impacted and a DWI requires the driver to be over the legal limit, as stated on the Bail Bonds Network post. The first DUI charge can be as much as $2,500. The second charge is $10,000, and a third is $15,000. If there is a fourth charge, the misdemeanor would then be considered a felony and bail may be set at $50,000.
